Delete your account

Deletion is permanent, needs no reason and has no form to fill in. It takes a few seconds inside the app; if you no longer have the app, ask by email and I’ll do it for you.

Last updated:

In short

  • From the app: Profile tab → the card with your name at the top → Delete account.
  • Without the app: email the contact address at the bottom of this page from your account’s email address. Nothing to reinstall.
  • Your account and everything attached to it is deleted: profile, programs, logged sessions, notes, custom exercises, files.
  • There is no way back: no grace period, and no copy kept for restoring.

Deleting your account from the app

This is the fastest route, and the one to take if you still have the app installed and can sign in.

  • open the Profile tab;
  • tap the card at the top, the one with your name and email;
  • scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account;
  • confirm in the dialog that appears.

Before it goes ahead you are asked to re-authenticate: your password, or the provider you sign in with (Google or Apple). That is not red tape — it is what stops anyone who finds your phone unlocked from deleting your account.

Once confirmed, your data is removed from our systems and the app returns to the sign-in screen. It takes a few seconds and leaves nothing for you to do.

If you no longer have the app

Do not reinstall it: the request is made by email. Write to the contact address at the bottom of this page from your account’s email address, with the subject «Account deletion».

If you sign in with Google or Apple, write from the address you use for that sign-in. With Apple the masked @privaterelay.appleid.com address is fine too: that is the one we see.

I reply once the deletion is done — usually within a few working days, and in any case within the one month the law allows (art. 12 GDPR).

If no account matches the address you write from, I will tell you rather than delete something at random.

What gets deleted

Everything that sits under your user id:

  • the account itself and the sign-in methods linked to it (email, password, Google or Apple links);
  • your training profile: level, goals, available days, equipment, limitations, and body data if you entered any;
  • programs, logged sessions, loads, reps, notes and history;
  • the custom exercises you created;
  • any files the app stored for your account.

The deletion is recursive: no orphan document with your name on it is left behind somewhere.

What remains, and for how long

A few things survive for a short while, not because we chose to keep them but because of how the underlying systems work.

  • Technical and security logs: they may contain your user id — not your content — and expire on their own within 30 days.
  • Crash reports, unless you turned them off: kept for up to 90 days by the diagnostics service, and they are technical context, not content.
  • Usage analytics, only if you had switched them on: they are pseudonymous, contain no email address and none of your program content, and once the account is deleted they can no longer be tied back to you.
  • Technical backup copies: these may persist for a limited period before rotation overwrites them.

None of your content is kept, and we hold no archive «in case you change your mind».

Deleting only part of your data

You do not have to delete the account to tidy up:

  • a logged session, a program or a custom exercise can be deleted from the app, one at a time;
  • usage analytics and crash reports can be switched off from the settings in the Profile tab, at any time.

For anything else — access, rectification, portability, restriction (arts. 15–22 GDPR) — write to the contact address.

If you change your mind

You can sign up again whenever you like, even with the same email address. It will be a new account though: the deleted history does not come back, because it no longer exists anywhere.
